Description
One of the biggest advantages of the A. klugii “Slano” isopod is how approachable it is. This morph is considered beginner-friendly, making it a great entry point for anyone getting into isopods or looking to expand their collection.
Slano’s are hardy, adaptable, and tend to do well as long as you provide a balanced environment with proper moisture and ventilation. They’re a bit more muted than the “Clown” morph, with bold white spots and less reddish tint to the underbody.

Habits: Slano isopods are somewhat shy, hiding or burrowing under leaf litter or bark. They can fully roll into a ball when threatened.
Husbandry: Semi-Arid to Temperate Humidity (30-50%), Well-Ventilated, Soil with Moisture Gradient, Offer Plenty of Cover like Flat/Cork Bark, Leaf Litter, Wood Rot, Limestone, and Seed Pods (Magnolia, Sweet Gum, Lotus)
Primary Diet: Decaying Organic Matter, Leaf Litter, Soft-Bodied Plants, and Wood Rot
