Description

The Cubaris sp. “Amber Firefly” isopod lives up to its name with beautiful amber, honey, and golden coloration with a yellow “firefly” spot that glows under proper lighting. Their warm palette contrasts beautifully with dark substrate and lush green moss, creating an impressive display in naturalistic enclosures.

Like many Cubaris species, Amber Fireflies are shy and spend much of their time hidden beneath cork bark, leaf litter, or within the substrate. They emerge primarily after dark to forage, moving slowly and deliberately through their environment. When disturbed, they can roll into a tight protective ball.

Best suited for keepers who can provide consistently warm, humid conditions, Amber Fireflies reward patience with their beautiful coloration and fascinating natural behavior.
