Cubaris sp “Blonde Ducky” isopod

Price range: $85.00 through $160.00

Beloved for their adorable “duck face,” these isopods prefer high humidity and make whimsical, collectible additions to display terrariums. Blonde duckies are a rare Cubaris species that can throw yellow, peach, and orange hues. They’re a softer golden twist on the classic ducky.

Description

With a distinct “ducky” face, the Blonde Ducky’s appearance is highly sought after in the industry. Ironically, they love to burrow and hide, so Ducky sightings may be rare until you have a well-established colony.

They’re cute as can be and rewarding to keep, but not beginner-friendly. Duckies will require stable humidity and a good deal of patience. They have similar care requirements as Rubber Duckies but are slightly more delicate, so best for experienced keepers.
