Dubia Roach – Adult
Price range: $5.00 through $18.00
These are freshly molted adult Dubia roaches, ready to be introduced to new colonies or boost current colonies. Many females are already gravid, so odds are high nymphs will be included if ordering adult females.
Beneficial CUC (clean-up crew) insects to keep with a Dubia colony include dermestid beetles and lesser mealworms (buffalo beetles). Isopods and springtails are an excellent addition if keeping a bioactive environment.
Illegal in Florida!
Breed Rate: Rapid
Origin: Central & South America
Husbandry: Methods Vary. While Bin Setups with Egg Crates are Common, We Prefer a Bioactive Environment with Added Clean-Up Crews like Dermestid Beetles, Darkling Beetles, Earthworms, Isopods, and Springtails. Dubia Roaches Prefer Warmth, High Humidity, Good Ventilation, Plenty of Cover and Climbing Opportunities, and a Fully Sealed Escape-Proof Tank. They thrive in communities of all sizes, and the babies will clean up after the adult waste. It’s Ideal to Keep a 1:3 – 1:5 Ratio of Adult Males to Females.
Primary Diet: Roach Chow (Dry Feed), Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Zucchini, Cucumbers, Veggie Scraps. While there are many more options, we stick to the above because any and all of our roaches may be used as feeder insects.
