Description
Lavas are highly adaptable, incredibly fast, and spectacularly hardy creatures which makes them a great option as arid terrarium custodians. Each generation will throw interesting variations of black, orange, red, and rust shades.

Habits: Lavas are active, hardy, fast-breeding, and food-motivated especially for protein. They thrive in dry, arid environments but do need a section of damp moss to regulate their water intake.
Husbandry: Low Humidity (30-40%), Well-Ventilated, Soil with a Moisture Gradient, Offer Plenty of Cover like Flat/Cork Bark, Leaf Litter, Wood Rot, Limestone, and Seed Pods (Magnolia, Sweet Gum, Lotus)
Primary Diet: Decaying Organic Matter, Leaf Litter, and Wood Rot
Supplemental Diet: Fish Flakes, Dried Shrimp, Cuttlebone or Egg Shells, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Butternut Squash, Freeze-Dried Peas, Dried or Dead Insects, Zucchini, Cucumber, Commercial Food like Repashy Morning Wood
