Meet one of the best entry point Cubaris isopods. They’re more forgiving and far more visible than many of their relatives.
Pandas can be shy, but if you offer a slice of cucumber or a pinch of Repashy, you’ll see your colony come to life from beneath the surface. Once they’re established and comfortable, they’re a rewarding species to interact with.

Habits: Pandas are known to reproduce quickly. Like many Cubaris they love to burrow, but can often be seen roaming and grazing as well. Able to roll into a tight ball when threatened. Incredibly food-motivated.
Husbandry: High Humidity (70-80%), Well-Ventilated, Deep and Damp Substrate, Offer Plenty of Cover like Flat/Cork Bark, Leaf Litter, Wood Rot, Limestone, and Seed Pods (Magnolia, Sweet Gum, Lotus)
Primary Diet: Decaying Organic Matter, Leaf Litter, and Wood Rot
Supplemental Diet: Cucumber, Fish Flakes, Dried Shrimp, Cuttlebone or Egg Shells, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Butternut Squash, Freeze-Dried Peas, Dried or Dead Insects, Zucchini, Commercial Food like Repashy Morning Wood
